  27. Uh I was being straightforward and honest about how I understood the tone 
  28. of your original post.  I also *sincerely* apologized for my error.  I 
  29. meant it when I said that I would double-check any info before posting, 
  30. because bandwidth is precious and erroneous posts fill it up quickly.

  32. I've noticed that if one apologizes on the Net for a mistake he makes, 
  33. some readers only take that as sarcasm.  That's why I specifically stated 
  34. in my previous post that I was *not* being sarcastic.  I'm sorry you did not 
  35. think my apology was genuine, and felt that severe sarcasm was necessary 
  36. in return.

  38. Now that I have heard from you that it really was just a mistype, then 
  39. I'm satisfied, and that's all I wanted to know.  I used to be an English 
  40. major, so I am quite nitpicky about things that others care little for, 
  41. such as punctuation.  But little mistakes can make drastic changes in 
  42. meaning.

  44. I can't help my memory because of the accident I had, but I can help make 
  45. sure that what I type to Usenet is accurate.  I didn't tell you about my 
  46. memory problem because I wanted you to feel guilty or to even give me any 
  47. sympathy.  I told you (and the rest of Usenet) about it because I felt it 
  48. should be known why I would post inaccurate information.  If you wish to 
  49. continue such discussion, please do it via e-mail, as this is not the place to 
  50. carry on such a discussion.
